Holiday Party Top Guide

Pop the bubbly! It’s that time of year for a last minute Christmas party, a holiday happy hour with your girlfriends, and New Years Eve sparkle!

I bought a bunch of tops on Amazon, tried them all on, returned the ones that didn’t fit right or didn’t meet my quality standards, and wrote about the winners!  I’ve also linked the best statement earrings to match your new tops! (And I’m wearing the Spanx faux leather leggings (shown below, if you don’t have these yet – get them, they are amazing) and thigh-high boots (on sale for $50 off) with almost every option.)

  1.  The Glitz and the WHAM! – $29

I LOVE this gold top.  The sequins don’t cover every last square inch of the blouse so it feels light and easy and looks fantastic.  Not scratchy, just fun.  Don’t plan to pass this down to your grandkids but it’s perfect for a few fun nights on the town.  (I’m wearing a medium, it fits true to size)

I paired it with these vintage inspired earrings for $17.

2. I sheer stars – $12 (or this link for black in size small and xs)

I love this top as a sexy sheer option.  It’s shorter so I paired it with a high waisted skirt similar to this one for $14 and I wore a bustier-type velvet bra for $18 (buy the black strapless, it has straps that you can remove).  I have an expensive shirt that’s very similar to this one so I was excited to find this affordable – no wait this is just downright CHEAP – option.  I’d also pair it with either of the jackets I have on this blog.

These beautiful waterfall diamond and silver earrings are my favorites out of all of the earrings that I’ve listed and are $17.  They look so expensive, great bang for your buck overall.

3.  Slinky meets Sequins (slinky top – $13) (sequin jacket – $25)

This is my favorite combination!  The slinky gunmetal tank top (size up) can be paired with jeans and a cardigan but this sequin jacket really glams up the look and screams holiday.  I’d put the jacket with so many different combinations – think this band tee for $18 with jeans.  The earrings are a gorgeous accent and I found an unbelievable price on them for $19.  I have a similar pair I paid $200 for (and they are fake just like these!) from a high end boutique so this price is a steal.

4. Red Hot and Ready to Rawr! (red slinky tank – $13) ( leopard print jacket – $29)

There’s nothing I love more than putting red with leopard print!  It’s so classically sexy!  This tank can be worn with or without the jacket, and this jacket can be paired with anything (like this band tee I mentioned above for $18).  But make sure to order UP UP UP in size in the jacket, I’m wearing an XL and I usually wear a medium.  So if you wear a small buy a large and if you wear a medium buy an XL, don’t worry, you’ll thank me later.  And there’s those eye-catching waterfall earrings again for $17 that I just can’t get enough of!  I’m telling you, buy them.
